161.123: AGREEMENT - STUDIES REGARDING PHYSICAL DETERIORATION
OF AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM Executive Director Norman J.
Priest reported on proposed agreement with the City of Anaheim for
services to implement studies relating to the identification and
alleviation of physical deterioration of portions of the City which
may be appropriate for Redevelopment Project designation, and the
identification of areas in need of revitalization.
Mr. Seymour stated that if the proposal was actually the first
step toward an ongoing program to encourage rehabilitation where
needed, he could support it; however, if there was any possibility
that the proposal was oriented toward being the first step in the
expansion of the City's Redevelopment Project, he was opposed.
Mr. Priest advised that the program under consideration would not
expand the current City Redevelopment Project.
In response to question by Mr. Bay, Mr. Priest further reported
it was possible that some industrial areas could be included in
the studies; however, the thrust was to gather data rather than
identify specific activities.
On motion by Mr. Seymour, seconded by Mr. Overholt, the proposed
agreement with the City of Anaheim was authorized, expenditure
not to exceed $35,700. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, Mrs. Kaywood moved to adjourn.
Mr. Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
