Chairman Pro Tem Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevel-
opment Agency to order at 1:05 p.m.
MINUTES On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Bay, minutes of the
regular meeting held May 12, 1981, were approved. Mr. Overholt abstained.
Mr. Seymour was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount
of $8,647.12, in accordance with the 1980 -81 Budget, were approved.
161.128: FINANCIAL S TATEM E NTS ,_ PERIOD ENDING. MARCH 31. 1981: On motion
by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Overholt, Redevelopment Agency Financial
Statements for Redevelopment Project Alpha were ordered received and
filed, as recommended by the Executive Director. Mr. Seymour was absent.
MOTION CARRIED.
161: MONTHLY STATUS REPORT - APRIL 1981 On motion by Mrs. Kaywood,
seconded by Mr. Roth, the Monthly Status Report covering Redevelopment
activities for the month of April 1981, was ordered received and filed.

161.157: PRELIMINARY PLANS - FREEDMAN PROPERTY (HURST JEWELERS)
Mr. Priest briefly reported on preliminary plans submitted for the con-
struction of the Hurst Jewelers development to be located at the north-
east corner of Anaheim Boulevard and realigned Lincoln Avenue. Calling
attention to site plan, plot plan and elevations posted on the west side
of the Council Chambers,he noted that the jewelry store portion of the
development would be located adjacent to the corner, with a breezeway
between that and the commercial-professional structure to the rear.
Final construction drawings were to be submitted prior to development.

In response to question by Agency Member Bay, the Executive Director
advised that the Agency staff had offered to facilitate a meeting between
representatives of the developers and owners of property in the immediate
area. All information had been available for review at the time the
Community Redevelopment Commission considered the preliminary plans.
Mr. Priest further reported that the nearest residential property was
approximately 150 -feet away and across the street.
Responding to question by Agency Member Overholt, Mr. Priest advised
that the Attorney for the developers had contacted him this date by
telephone and stated he would do his best to arrange a meeting with area
residents.
At the conclusion of the discussion, it was moved by Mr. Bay, seconded
by Mr. Overholt, that preliminary plans for the Hurst Jewelers development
be approved. Mr. Seymour was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency, Mrs. Kaywood moved to adjourn. Mr. Overholt
seconded the motion. Mr. Seymour was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
