A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE
ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF THE INTERSECTION OF
STATE COLLEGE BOULEVARD AND
ORANGEWOOD AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for
fiscal year 1992-1993; and
WHEREAS, the program includes One Million, Ninety-eight
Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars and Sixty-nine Cents
($1,098,889.69) in fiscal year 1992-1993 for an intersection
improvement project at the intersection of State College
Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim has adopted a General Plan
Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the
Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) within its jurisdiction;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has designed the project
improvements and has completed required preparatory work in
accordance with the standards required by the city and other
affected jurisdictions involved with the project; and
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim awarded the contract for
the project on June 22, 1993 for the sum of One Million, Six
Hundred Ninety-five Thousand, Four Hundred Fifty-nine Dollars and
Fifty Cents ($1,695,459.50);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Orange County Transportation
Authority is hereby requested to allocate to the City of Anaheim
the sum of One Million, Ninety-eight Thousand, Eight Hundred
Eighty-nine Dollars and Sixty-nine Cents ($1,098,889.69) of CTFP
funds from the Measure M Program for construction of said
project; this request is in conformance with the CTFP allocation
process and does not exceed ninety percent (90%) of the
programmed amount or ninety percent (90%) of the construction
contract amount.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim agrees
to fund its share of the improvement costs of the above-stated
fiscal year and any additional costs over the identified
programmed amount.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim agrees
to submit its final report to the Orange County Transportation
Authority within one hundred twenty (120) days after the
construction has been completed and the improvements have been
accepted by the City of Anaheim; the Orange County Transportation
Authority is hereby requested to transfer to the City of Anaheim
the remaining ten percent (10%) in CTFP funds when construction
is completed and a Final Report on the project is accepted ~ the
Orange County Transportation Authority.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day
of July , 1993.
