. HUD SECTION $ UPDATE - REPORT, JUNE, 1976: Housing Director Rosario
Mattessich briefly summarized his report for June, 1976 (copies
furnished each Authority Member), advising that at the end of the
month, 94% of the elderly and 70% of the non - elderly unit alloca-
tions were under lease, with Housing Assistance Program contracts
executed on behalf of 173 families, 126 elderly and 47 non - elderly.
He emphasized the scarcity of three - bedroom and four- bedroom rental
units available for rents which can be approved, slowing leasing
activity for non - elderly families.
In response to inquiry by Mr. Kott, Mr. Mattessich advised
that the Housing Department staff works with the larger non - elderly
families and potential landlords in an attempt to place these
people.
