Chairman Thom called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Housing
Authority to order.
MINUTES On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Roth, the
minutes for the regular meeting held January 18, 1977, were
approved. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY in the amount
of $376.91, in accordance with the 1976 -77 Budget, were approved.
HOUSING DIRECTOR'S REPORT - DECEMBER 1976 Housing Director Rosario
Mattessich presented and briefly reviewed his report covering the
month of December 1976, a copy of which is on file in the City Clerk's
Office.
He spoke briefly on the letter that Southern California Associa-
tion of Governments (SCAG) forwarded to HUD protesting the pro-
posed Section 8 funding allocation for Orange County due to HUD's
use of 1970 census data rather than more recent data. He noted
that the Housing Commission did support the SCAG position in this
matter.
In an.. ^wer to question of Mr. Kott as to means of correcting this
situation, Mr. Mattessich advised that a letter from Housing Au-
thority Chairman Thom has been forwarded to Congressman Patterson
who has been very active in housing matters with HUD.
Executive Director Norman Priest added that the Federal government
is aware of the discrepancy but that existing regulations must be
followed until they are changed.

Mr. Mattessich further announced the resignation of Joseph H.
Carreras, Housing Coordinator, and commended him for his contri-
bution to the success of the Housing Program. Mr. Carreras will
be joining the Housing staff of the Southern California Associa-
tion of Governments.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Anaheim .�
Housing Authority, Mrs. Kaywood moved to adjourn. Mr. Thom seconded
the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
