REDEV'LOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA - PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO BOUNDARIES:
Mr. 11atts reported that pursuant to recommendation of Eugene B.
Jacobs, Special Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency, a resolution
vis prF.r): relinquishing any right to certain tax funds as of
the fisc11 year beginning July 1976.
in response to question by Mrs. Kaywood, Mr. Watts counseled
th.;!_ the Agency has the option of withholding such action, pending
futUre action as a result of the public hearing to consider the
exclusion from Redevelopment Project Alpha of certain properties
lying easterly of Imperial Highway and southerly of the Santa Ana
River; however, one of the purposes of proceeding at this time is
to communicate the action to officials of the County of Orange,
thereby allowing appropriate action to be taken prior to the
adoption of other taxing agency budgets.
Mrs. Kaywood was of the opinion that it would be more appro-
priate to withhold action until after the public hearing, and she
pointed out the possibility that some revision to the proposal for
exclusion of certain properties could be effected, which could
result in the loss to the City of tax increment funds for one year.

No. ARA76 -10 for adoption.
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RELINQUISHING ALL
