Chairman Thom called the Regular Meeting of the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency to order at 1 :00 P.M.
MINUTES: Approval of the minutes of the Regular Meetings held
July 13, 20 and 27, 1976, and Adjourned Regular Meetings held.
July 1 and 14, 1976, was defc!rred one week.
REPORT - FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Demands against the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency in the amount of
$200,302.89, in accordance with the 1976 -77 Budget, were approved.
RESOLUTION NO. ARA76 -13: Mr. Thom offered Resolution No. ARA76 -13
for adoption, approving agreement for property appraisal services
as authorized September 2, 1976 (see minute page 75 -84).
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, APPROVING AN
AGREEMENT WITH EUGENE E. GUTIERREZ III, M.A.I., TO ACT AS PROPERTY
APPRAISER FOR THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION THEREOF.

Chairman Thom declared Resolution No. ARA76 -13 duly passed and
adopted.
STORM DRAIN PROJECT NO. 17, ANAHEIM CANYON INDUSTRIAL AREA Refer-
--
ence was made to Anaheim Canyon Industrial Area drainage projects
approved by the Redevelopment Agency (Community Development
Commission) in December of 1975, and Mr. D'Urso advised that the
Community Redevelopment Commission recommends that work on that
portion of the project designated as Number 17 be allowed to
proceed without regard to the sequence of projects previously
established on a priority list. Location of Project No. 17,
north side of La Palma Avenue, west from Kellogg Drive.
Mr. Thom moved that work on Project No. 17 be authorized to
proceed as recommended by the Community Redevelopment Commission.
Mr. Seymour seconded the motion. Mrs. Kaywood absent. MOTION
CARRIED,
STEERING COMMITTEE, REPORT: Chairman Thom reported that during the
past week, the Redevelopment steering committee met with Messrs.
Metzler and Gottlieb, of Metzler's Furniture and Appliances and
World Travel Bureau, Inc. respectively, who are interested in a
proposal for a redevelopment project in the downtown area.

Community Development Director Knowlton Fernald attended said
meetings and approximately four alternatives were offered to these
businessmen.
Mr. Seymour reported that a great deal of public input was
being received at the two weekly public meetings on redevelopment.
An appointment has been arranged August 4, 1976, with representa-
tives of the El Camino Bank to discuss the role that institution
will play in downtown redevelopment. He pointed out that as ,..�
projects are firmed, they will be brought before the Agency for
action.

RECONVENE: Later in the meeting (1:07 P.M.), by general consent
the Regular Meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopme ;it - Agency :was
reconvened by Chairman Thom.
RALPH G. SNEEGAS LITIGATION: Mr. Thom requested that the City
Attorney supply Special Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency Eugene
Jacobs with copies of all documentation in connection with certain
litigation currently pending (Ralph G. Sneegas).
City Attorney Alan R. Watts advised that to his knowledge,
copies of all such materials were sent to that office, with the
exception of a letter received from the Grand Jury, however he
would review the material with Mr. Jacobs and forward copies of
any documents that he does not have.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency, Mr. Thom moved to adjourn. Mr. Kott seconded
the motion. Mrs. Kaywood absent. MOTION CARRIED.
