Chairman Thom called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment
Agency to order.
MISS: On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Thom, the minutes
for the regular meetings held May 10 and 17, 1977, were approved.
MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the
amount of $25,001.80, in accordance with the 1976 -77 Budget, were
approved.
RELOCATION CLAIM - CASE NO. ARA 10 -T -B Following recommendation of
the Executive Director in memorandum dated May 6, 1977, Mr
offered - :Resolution No. ARA77 -37 for adoption.

Chairman Thom declared Resolution No. ARA77 -37 duly passed and adopted.
TEMPORARY SHOPPING CENTER CONCEPT - DOWNTOWN PROJECT ALPHA: Mr. Priest
presented his report and recommendation, as outlined in his memo dated
May 13, 1977, for approval of the concept for development of a tempo-
rary shopping center as a relocation facility for downtown merchants
wishing to return to the Project Area when permanent facilities are
available. He noted that should the Agency find the concept acceptable,

he would then proceed ahead and return to the Agency at a later date
with specific site recommendations, price quotations, and other
necessary action to get the development accomplished.
In answer to questions of Agency members, Mr. Priest further reported
that as of this date, ten merchants have indicated their interest;
that proposals have been solicited from various manufacturers for the
purchase or lease of mobile or modular facilities; that total cost
covering a two -year span is estimated at $300,000 to $400,000; and
that rentals are being considered on the basis of a flat rental
of approximately 35(,% a square foot, a straight percentage of sales, or
a ratio between gross sales and rent.
Following favorable comments indicating his support, Mr. Seymour
moved to approve the concept of the development of a temporary
shopping center as a relocation facility for downtown merchants
until permanent facilities are available within Project Alpha.
Mrs. Kaywood seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
BALANCE _SHEET - APRIL 30, 1977 On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by
Mr. Seymour, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency Balance Sheet dated
April 30, 1977, was received and filed. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency, Mrs. Kaywood moved to adjourn. Mr. Roth
seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
