Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelop
ment Agency to order.
MINUTES: Approval of minutes was deferred to the next regular meeting.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the
amount of $152,052.16 for the period ending July 5, 1978, and
$134,193.76 for the period ending July 11, 1978, in accordance with
the 1978 -79 Budget, were approved.
161.128: FINANCIAL STATEMENT AS OF MAY 31, 1978: Mr. Priest submitted
the Redevelopment Agency Financial Statement for the period ending
May 31, 1978, and advised Agency Members that no further financial
statements would be forthcoming until September because of the indepen
dent financial audit being conducted.
On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by Mrs. Kaywood, the Anaheim Redevelop
ment Agency received and filed the Financial Statement to May 31, 1978.
MOTION CARRIED.
161.157: FINAL ACCEPTANCE, REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF FIRE ESCAPE,
EL CAMINO BANK BUILDING (DUNCAN STEEL, INC.): In accordance with the
certificate filed by the Executive Director, Mr. Kott offered
Resolution No. ARA78 -78 for adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. ARA78 -78: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND FURNISHING OF ALL PLANT, LABOR,
ITIES AND
SERVICES, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENTAAND TALL
PERFORMANCEOF ALL WORK
INCLUDING POWER, FUEL
NECESSARY TO COMPLETE A WORK OF IMPROVEMENT.

161.107: AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. D78 -5: In accordance with the recom-
mendation submitted by the Executive Director, Mr. Kott offered
Resolution No. ARA78 -79 accepting the lowest bid submitted and award-
ing a contract for demolition and site clearance of various Agency
properties to Rosie's, Inc.
RESOLUTION NO. ARA78 -79: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF CERTAIN
AGENCY PROPERTIES. ( Rosie's, Inc., $3,750. payment by the Agency)

161.107: AUTHORIZATION FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SEEK BIDS FOR
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE: Report and recommendation from the
Executive Director was submitted requesting that the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency authorize that he seek bids for demolition and clearance of
buildings and improvements acquired by the Agency as soon as sufficient
parcels have been assembled to make a package. Soliciting bids in this
manner, without specific authorization from the Agency, will reduce the
process by two weeks for each bidding. The report indicates the Agency
will retain the right to reject any bids after solicitation and before
acceptance.
Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA78 -80 for adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. ARA78 -80: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT ,.
AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SEEK BIDS FOR THE
DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND IMPROVEMENTS
ACQUIRED BY THE AGENCY.

The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA78 -80 duly passed and adopted.
161.158: AUTHORIZATION OF RELOCATION PAYMENT, CLAIM NO. OB -312:
On motion by Mr. Seymour, seconded by Mr. Overholt, The Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency authorized the Executive Director to make payment
in Relocation Claim No. OB -312, not to exceed $21,153. MOTION CARRIED.

ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGEN - July 11, 1978, 1:00 P.M.
161.118: CLAIM AGAINST THE AGENCY - ANAHEIM BOOK DRAGON: On motion
by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Overholt, the Anaheim Redevelopment
Agency denied the claim submitted by Anaheim Book Dragon for property
damages sustained purportedly as a result of defective roofing of
City -owned property, as recommended by Agency Counsel. MOTION CARRIED.
On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by Mr. Seymour, the City Attorney's
Office was authorized to refer the above - referenced claim to Carl
Warren and Company for investigation. MOTION CARRIED.
On motion by Mr. Seymour, seconded by Mrs. Kaywood, the Executive
Director was authorized to explore with the City Attorney a possible
contractual arrangement with Carl Warren and Company for the handling
of claims against the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, Mr. Roth moved to adjourn. Mr. Kott
seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
