MINUTES On motion by Mr. Overholt, seconded by Mrs. Kaywood, minutes of the regular meetings held July 18, 25 and August 1, 1978 were approved. 1UTION CARRIED. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of or the period ending August 15, 1978; and 293,982.29 for the period ending August 22, 1978, in accordance with the 1978 -79 Budget, were approved. 161: N%J MILY STATUS REPORT: On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by Mr. Seymour, the Manthly Status Report, s the activities of the Community Development Departmment for the month of July, 1978, was received and filed. MOTION CARRIED. 161.158: REIACATION CASE M. TB -100 On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Overholt, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency authorized payment of relocation costs in Case No. TB -100 in an amount not to exceed $162,087.62. MOTION CARRIED. Mr. Kott questioned whey the relocation costs are paid in-increments, noting that this makes it difficult for the Agency Manbers to be aware of the total amount being paid in any one case. Mr. Lyons explained that in sane cases the relocatee pays some of these expenses and is later reimbursed; that in sane instances physical changes to the new site are required and these are first performed and then the actual moving expenses including telephones, printing of stationery, etc. crane in later. In this par- ticular case, Mr. Lyons advised that this payment would cammplete the claim. 161.158: RELOCATION CASE NO. TB -206 Mr. Lyons advised that this is not the final claim payment, that additional expenses are anticipated relating to this move, which will approximate an amount which is ten to fifteen percent of this payment. 78 -122 ANAHEIM REDEVFZOPMENT AGENCY - AUGUST 22, 1978 - 1:00 P.M. On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by Mr. Seymour, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency authorized payment of relocation costs in Case No. TB -206 in an amount not to exceed $140,974.26. MOTION CARRIED. 161.158: RELOCATION CASE NO. TB -207 Mr. Lyons advised that this is not a final claim, there will be some additional costs. On motion by Mr. Overholt, seconded by Mr. Roth, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency authorized payment of relocation costs in Case No. TB-207 in an amount not to exceed $33,356.74. MOTION CARRIED. 161.158: RELOCATION CASE NO. OB-48 On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Overholt, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency authorized payment of relocation costs in Case No. OB -48 in an amount not to exceed $16,150.21. MOTION CARRIED. 161.123: AGREEMENT WITH JUEL C. SHOOK FOR JANITORIAL SERVICE 109 N. ANAHEIM BLVD: Mr. Lyons presented the reccnv endation that the Agency authorize a contractual agreement with Juel C. Shook to provide janitorial services at 109 N. Anaheim Boulevard, a property acquired by the Agency. He explained that there are six more occupants to relocate and they do not anticipate these services will be needed any longer than 45 to 60 days. Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA78 -92 for adoption. RESOLUTION NO. ARA78 -92 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AG ZEZ-= WITH JUEL C. SHOOK, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMEPTT. Roll Call Vote: AYES: AGENCY MEMBERS Overholt, Kaywood, Kott, Roth and Seymour. NOES: AGENCY MEMBERS: None ABSENT: AGENCY MEMBERS: None The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA78 -92 duly passed and adopted. 161.157: INVITATION FOR BIDS ROOF WALK AND RELATED WORK AT 211 EAST LINCOLN AVE. (CONTRACT NO. RR78 -1) In accordance with the recommendation submitted by the Executive Director, Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA78 -93 for adoption. 78 -123 ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - AUGUST 22, 1978 - 1:00 P.M. ARA78 -93 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IlMPROVE ENT, TO WIT: THE REPAIR OF THE ROOF, INSTALLATION AND PAINTING OF A ROOF -W.K AND PIMATEn WORK AT THE AGENCY BUILDING AT 211 EAST LINCOLN AVENUE, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, CONTRACT NO. RR78 -1. Roll Call Vote: AYES: AGENCY MEMBERS: Overholt, Kaywood, Roth and Seymour NOES: AGENCY MEMBERS: Kott ABSENT: AGENCY NUIBERS : None The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA78 -93 duly passed and adopted. 161: CORRECTION OF MISLEADING INFORMATION: Agency Member Roth announced that he has received several telephone calls from citizens regarding an article which has appeared in one of the local newspapers indicating that the Agency plans to tear down such structures as the Carnegie Library and the First Presbyterian Church as well as tear out Pearson Park as part of Redevelopment Project Alpha. He re- marked that as an Agency Member he has never received the impression that these types of activities were even under discussion and inquired what might be done to set the record straight, suggesting perhaps the City's Public Information Office might want to put out a news release. 161.150: ANAHEIM HISTORIC SOCIE7.'Y APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL AND STATE REGISTERS OF HISTORICAL BUILDINGS Because of concerns expressed following a meeting at the Anaheim Cultural Arts Center regarding an application to be forwarded by the Anaheim Historical Society for placement of certain buildings on the National and State Registers of Historical Buildings, that the City is dealing with the State and Federal Governments in relation to these applications with no public representa- tion, and further that the application being forwarded may also be incomplete or in error, the Chairman offered the following motion for Agency approval. MOTION Mr. Seymour moved that the Community Development Department request Redevelopment Counsel to review the applications to be forwarded by the Anaheim Historical Society for placement of buildings on Federal and State Registers of Historical Buildings to insure their accuracy and ccm pleteness. Mrs. Kaywood seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. ADJOURND= There being no further business to cane before the Anaheim Redevelop- ment Agency,, Mr. Kott moved to adjourn.
