Special meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency was called
by Chairman Dutton for the purpose of considering a recommenda-
tion to be forwarded to the Orange County Transit District
regarding modification of the T -2E Network, Transportation
Corridor Study.
Further notice of said meeting was waived by all Agency Members
and representatives of The Anaheim Bulletin, The Register and
The Los Angeles Times.
The changes recommended by the City of Anaheim Planning Depart-
ment, which were approved by the Anaheim City Council, were
presented as follows:
1) That Network T2E be modified as follows:
a) Realign the Pacific Electric Railroad right -of -way corri-
dor, which is the primary corridor, at approximately
Katella Avenue, utilizing the Southern Pacific Railroad
right -of -way and the Southern California Edison easement
by proceeding easterly to the Santa Ana Freeway. The
corridor would then proceed southeasterly along the
freeway to approximately Broadway where it would turn
southerly and extend into the Santa Ana Civic Center
Complex where it would intersect with the original
corridor.
b) Delete the Pacific Electric right -of -way corridor from
the point where it intersects with the Southern Pacific
Railroad right -of -way corridor (Anaheim modification)
south to the Santa Ana Civic Center Complex.
c) Provide service to the eastern central part of the County
by extending the Southern Pacific Railroad right -of -way
corridor along the Southern Pacific Railroad right -of -way
in the City of Orange to a terminal to be located near
the Newport Freeway in Orange.
d) Provide service to the southwest part of the County by
utilizing the Southern Pacific Railroad right -of -way
as it extends southerly from the Pacific Electric
Railroad right -of -way and terminates at the Pacific Ocean
in Huntington Beach.
2) That a Multi -Modal Transportation Center be established in
the Commercial- Recreation (Disneyland, Convention Center,
Anaheim Stadium) Area of Anaheim as well as establishing
74 -7
transportation centers throughout the system at the intersec-
tion of corridors and other major points of high trip genera-
.-- tion, such as "The City" and the County Complex at Manchester
and the Santa Ana Freeway, Santa Ana Civic Center Complex,
