A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAIEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY REJECTING BID RECEIVED UP TO THE
HOUR OF 2:00 P.A. ON THE 22ND DAY OF
DECEMBER, 1977, FOP, REMODELING OF INTERIOR
PORTIONS OF THE EL CA14INO BANK BUILDING,
203 EAST LINCOLN AVENUE, ANAHEIM, PROJECT
NO. 52- 4804- 212 -11.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 6th day of December,
1977, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did adopt Resolution No.
ARA77 -94 finding and determining that public convenience and neces-
sity required the construction and comgpletion of remodeling of in-
terior portions of the E1 Camino Bank Building located at 203 East
Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did authorize
and direct the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to
publish a notice according to law inviting sealed proposals for
the above - mentioned public improvement and fixing the 22nd day of
December, 1977, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date and
hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 22nd day of December, 1977, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the Executive Director did review the
bid so received and did report the result thereof to the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency at its regular meeting held on the 27th day of
December, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that the
bid received is in excess of the estimate of the Architect's esti-
mate of the cost of said public improvement and is not represen-
tative of actual construction costs and that said bid should be
rejected; and
WHEREAS, said project can be performed more economically
by day labor, or the materials or supplies furnished at a lower
price in the open market.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director be,
and he is hereby, authorized to execute, on behalf of the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency, such contract or contracts obtained after com-
petitive bids'as may be necessary to accomplish the word: described
in the plans and specifications; provided, however, that the total
expenditure for all the worts and any change orders shall not exceed
$140,000.00.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 27th day of December, 1977.
