WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency has acquired,
and will acquire, from time to time, residential, commercial and
industrial properties, buildings and structures (hereinafter
Properties) for purposes of redevelop=ment; and
WLILUREAS, said Properties may not be iru needed
for redevelopment purposes; and
TyRlEREAS, tenants and owners who occupied Properties
prior to acquisition by the Agency may desire to continue to oc-
cupy Properties until Properties are needed for redevelopment
purposes; and
. WHER1 other persons and entities, not formerly occu-
pants of Properties, may desire to lease Properties from Agency on
a short-term basis; and
WHEP&,'AS, it is desirable to lease Properties on a short-
term basis thereby generating revenues to the Agency and avoiding
vacancies in Properties; and
WHEREAS, Section M of the 13y-Laws for Anaheim Redevel-
opment Agency provides that no person shall have power to bind tile
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to any contract without prior author-
ity by vote of the Agency Members; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to authorize the Executive
Director to execute short-term leases of Properties on behalf of
the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and to bind the Anaheim Redevel-
opment Agency thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Direc-
tor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute, on behalf of the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency,, leases of Properties after review
and approval of said leases by the Agency General Counsel or his
designee provided, however, that said leases shall not e: a
term of one year.
