A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY ON BEHALF OF THE
ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Agency is proceeding to implement Redevel-
opment Project Alpha by acquiring and assembling sites for dispo-
sition to and development by proposed developers; and
WHEREAS, in order to acquire and assemble sites for
proposed development, it is necessary for the Agency to obtain
appraisals of the fair market value of properties comprising pro-
posed development sites, to establish just compensation for such
properties and to execute various legal instruments for the ac-
quisition thereof; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitiate the day -to -day efforts
of the Agency staff in obtaining proposed developments in Redevel-
opment Project Alpha, it is desirable to authorize the Executive
Director to obtain appraisals of properties which may be acquired
by the Agency and to take such steps as are necessary for the ac-
quisition of sites for the proposed developments.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. CDC 76 -6 did establish a proce-
dure for the acquisition of property by the Agency; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to modify said procedure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency as follows:
1. That Resolution No. CDC 76 -6 is hereby superseded in
its entirety.
2. That the Executive Director be, and he is hereby, auth-
orized to proceed with the acquisition of real property located:
a. Within Redevelopment Project Alpha for redevelopment
purposes generally.
b. Outside of Redevelopment Project Alpha for the pur-
pose of rehabilitation or development of low and
moderate income housing for persons displaced by
Redevelopment activities.
3. That the Executive Director be, and he is hereby, auth-
orized to:
a. Retain the services of appraisers to appraise
properties to be acquired by the Agency provided,
however, that the cost of such appraisal shall not
exceed $1,500.00 for any single parcel of record.
b. Approve, after thorough review and consultation
with appropriate staff members, all such appraisals
on behalf of the Agency.

C. Establish just compensation to be paid in the
acquisition of real property on the basis of the
aforesaid approved appraisals.
d. Accept and execute, on behalf of the Agency, legal
documents required in the acquisition process pro-
vided, however, that the consideration to be paid
by the Agency shall not exceed the amount of just
compensation established in the preceding Paragraph
"c" and provided further, however, that deeds shall
be presented to the Agency for acceptance.
e. All real property acquisition shall be conducted
in accordance with the provisions of the California
Relocation Assistance Act and other applicable State
laws.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 12th day of October , 1976.
