A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPI1ENT
AGENCY RELINQUISHING ALL RIGHT, INTEREST
AND CLAIM TO CERTAIN TAX FUNDS AND AUTHOR -
IZING NOTIFICATION OF SUCH RELINQUISHMENT.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency is carrying
out the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Alpha adopted
by the Citv Council on July 19, 1973, by Ordinance No. 3190; and
WHEREAS, said Redevelopment Plan provides for the allo-
cation and payment to the Redevelopment Agency of certain taxes
levied on- property in the Project area and attributable to in-
creases in assessed valuation in the Project area, pursuant to the
California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code
Section 33670); and
WHEREAS, it will not be necessary for carrying out said
Redevelopment Plan for the Redevelopment Agency to receive that
portion of such tax funds for the 1976 -77 tax year which are attri-
butable to increases in the assessed valuation of that property in
the Project area lying easterly of Imperial Highway and that prop-
erty lying southerly of the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to timely inform the appropriate
taxing officials of the State of California and the County of
Orange, and the local taxing agencies levying property taxes in
the Project area, that the Agency will not claim or utilize said
tax funds for the 1976 -77 tax year, in order to facilitate the ime-
plementation of their respective budgeting and other fiscal pro-
cedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency as follows:
1. The Redevelopment Agency hereby releases and relinquishes
any and all right, interest and claim to those taxes levied for
the tax year July 1, 1976, through June 30, 1977, which are attri-
butable to increases in the assessed valuation of that property
in the Redevelopment Project Alpha area lying easterly of Imperial
Highway and that property lying southerly of the Santa Ana ?diver,
as illustrated on the map attached hereto and incorporated herein
as Exhibit "A."
2. The Executive Director is hereby authorized. and directed
to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Auditor- Controller
and Assessor of the County of Orange, to each taxing agency which
levies taxes upon property in the Project area, and to the State
Board of Equalization.
