ARA79 -131 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPON- SIBLE BIDDER FOR DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF CERTAIN AGENCY PROPERTIES. WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin, on over:iber 7, 0 and Deceiib r 7 1976 a notice inviting sealed proposals for demolition and site clearance of the following Agency properties, to wit: rlf�ency It rl o Street l.da'- -ess 31oc"K /Parcel 1 200 d. Lincoln Ave. 1116 in accordance with the specifications on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency; and WHEREAS, said notice inviting sealed proposals for said demolition and clearance did provide that sealed proposals would be received by the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency at the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency up to the hour - 1 - ATTY -38 of 2:00 o' clock P.M. on the loth day of Doc;; ?,b�er , 19 8 , for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to complete in a good and workmanlike manner, the demolition and clearance hereinabove more particularly mentioned and described, and which notice did state and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency had ascer- tained the prevailing rate of wages in the locality in which this type of labor is to be performed for each craft or type of work- man or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and which wage scale is on file in the Offices of the Secretary of the Agency; and WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Agency did receive the following sealed proposals prior to 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the l4tzi day of D or-_ , 19 73 , in response to the notice a o esr aid inviting sea ed proposals, to wit: NAME TOTAL PRICE T ? °IZARD Or' • . . , 7,3 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11, 000.00 ROSL,'S, 111C .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1C),000.0G VIT I dG QUIP" S T`i_' CORP. l7, 3 20. 00 L .. OG CCO COi;`'P,ACTORS, I' ?C . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 51, 330-00 IA T1?R TAy'IO TAL CONS OLIDA`II D CONTxLACTORS, I %TC. . . . 3-39,136.00 WHEREAS, the Agency Representative did thereupon examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency the result of his examination and tabulation; and - WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that the sealed proposal submitted by The . zard of V.reckins 2 -40 1 Lincoln Ave. Anaheim Calif. is the lowest responsible proposal sub mitted or the urnis ing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water - 2 - and performing all work necessary to complete in a good and work- manlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency, the demolition and clearance hereinabove mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances thereto, and as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and that said proposal of said above -named bidder should be accepted and a contract awarded to said bidder in accordance therewith; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that the above - mentioned sealed proposal.is the lowest responsible proposal received and that the person, firm or corporation sub- mitting said proposal is a responsible person, firm or corpora- tion and that the proposal submitted is the best suited and fitted for the demolition and clearance to be undertaken. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelop- ment Agency that the sealed proposal submitted by said contractor for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the speci- fications therefor on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the notice inviting sealed pro- posals, the demolition and clearance hereinabove more particularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract for the completion of said demolition and clearance be, and the same is hereby, awarded to the said above -named bidder. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth, shall be, and they are hereby required to execute a contract in the required form with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency upon the terms and conditions specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals and the proposal submitted by said successful bidder or bidders and in accordance with the specifications for said demolition and clearance hereinabove described, and in accordance with the terms, conditions and provisions of this resolution, and that said successful bidder or bidders to whom each contract is awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100 %) of the contract price for all labor, materials and equipment to be furnished and performed, as set forth in the sealed proposal submitted by said bidder for the demolition and clearance, together with the appurtenances thereto or such portion thereof as is covered by said contract, as secur- ity for the faithful performance of said contract, and a separ- ate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100 %) of the cost of said demolition and clearance covered by said contract, as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing material for said demolition and clearance.
