A R SOLUT ION OF ThE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPM�INT
AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSI-
BLE BIDDER FOR DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF
CERTAIN AGENCY PROPERTIES. (D79 -4)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did cause
to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The
Anaheim Bulletin and the Santa Ana Register on February llth
and 18th, 1979, a notice inviting sealed proposal for demolition
and site c earance of the following Agency properties, to wit:

in accordance with the specifications on file in the Office of the
Secretary of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, said notice inviting sealed proposals for
said demolition and clearance did provide that sealed proposals
would be received by the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency at the
Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency up
to the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd day of February, 1979 for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, all utilities acid transportion, including power, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to complete in a
good and workmanlike manner, the demolition and clearance herein -
above more particularly mentioned and described, and which notice
did state and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section
1770 of the Labor Code, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency has
_ascertained the prevailing rate of wages in the locality in which
this type of labor is to be performed for each craft or type of
workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and which
wage scale is on file in the Offices of the Secretary of the
Agency; and

WHEREAS, the Secretary of

WHEREAS, the Agency Representative did thereupon
examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to
the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency the result of his examination
and tabulation; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that
the sealed proposal submitted by THE WIZARD OF WRECKING,
2540 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, CA 928.01, is the lowest
responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all plant,
labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing
all work necessary to complete in a good and worlananlike manner,
in strict accordance with the specifications therefor on file
in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency, the demolition
and clearance hereinabove mentioned and described, together with
the appurtenances thereto, and as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals, and that sAid proposal of said above -named bidder
should be accepted and a contract awarded to said bidder in ac-
cordance therewith; and

NOW,THEREFORE, BL IT RLSOLVED by the Anaheim Redevelop-
ment Agency that the sealed proposal submitted by said contractor
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
and water, and performing all work necessary to complete, in a
good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the speci-
fications therefor on file in the Office of the Secretary of the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the notice inviting sealed pro-
posals, the demolition and clearance herenabovd- more particularly
mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances thereto
be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract for the
completion of said demolition and clearance be; and the same is
hereby, awarded to the said above - named bidder.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth, shall
be, and they are hereby required to execute a contract in the re-
quired form with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency upon the terms
and conditions specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals
and the proposal submitted by said successful bidder or bidders
and in accordance with the specifications for said demolition and
clearance hereinabove described, and in accordance with the terms,
conditions and provisions of this resolution, and that said suc-
cessful bidder or bidders to whom each contract is awarded shall
be required to furnish a surety bond in the amount of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), or an amount equal to one hundred
percent (100 %) of the contract price, whichever is greater, for
all labor, materials and equipment to be furnished and performed,
as set forth in the sealed proposal submitted by said bidder for
the demolition and clearance, together with the appurtenances
thereto or such portion thereof as is covered by said contract,
as security for the faithful performance of said contract, and
a separate surety bond in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20,000.00), or an amount equal to one hundred percent (100 %)
of the cost of said demolition and clearance, whichever is
greater, covered by said contract, as security for the payment
of all persons performing labor and furnishing material for
said demolition and clearance.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such successful bidder
or bidders be, and they are hereby, required to furnish to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency in companies satisfactory to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, public liability, property damage,
compensation, and other insurance in the amounts and for the
purposes set forth and specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals and subject to the approval of the General Counsel of
the Agency as to form and sufficiency.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and
Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency be, and they are
hereby, authorized and directed to make, execute and enter into,
for and on behalf of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, a written
contract with said successful bidder or bidders for the furnish-
ing of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing
all work, as hereinabove more particularly described for the com-
pletion of said demolition and clearance hereinabove described
upon the terms and conditions as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals, the specifications, and all addenda thereto,
and all modifications incorporated therein prior to the date of
the opening of bids, on file in the Office of the Secretary of
the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and in strict accordance with
the terms, conditions and provisions of this resolution, and
in accordance with all of the contract documents herein specified.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of March , 1979.
