A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOI-F -ST RESPON-
SIBLE BIDDER FOR THE OILING OF CLEARED
AGENCY PROPERTY. (DESIGNATED AS CONTRACT
NO. D81 -10)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did solicit
and receive sealed proposals for the oiling of certain Agency
property, to wit:
A vacant parcel of land located between Helena Street
and Harbor Boulevard, north of Lincoln Avenue, in the
City of Anaheim, Fund No. 82- 364 - 6.245, and designated
as Contract No. D81 -10,
in accordance with the specifications on file in the Office of
the Secretary of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did solicit
sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and eouipment, utilities and transportation, in-
cluding power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary
to complete in a good and workmanlike manner, the oiling of Agency
parcel _ hereinabove more particularly Mentioned and described,
and which notice did state and declare that pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency had ascertained the prevailing rate of
wages in the locality in which this type of labor is to be per-
formed for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to
execute the contract, and which wage scale is on file in the
Office of the Secretary of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Agency representative did receive the
following sealed proposals on the 22nd day of December ,
19 81 1 in response to the solicitati no aforesaid inviting sealed
proposal, to wit:

WHEREAS, the Agency representative did thereupon ex-
mine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency the result of his examination and
tabulations; and
h'�:EREAS, the Anaheim :Redevelopment Agency finds that
the sealed proposal submitted by R. J. NOBLE COMPANY, 15505 Ea st
Lincoln Avenue, Orange, California 92666 is the lowest
responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all plant,
labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and,
transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing
all wore, necessary to complete in a good and workmanlike manner,
in strict accordance with the specifications therefor on file
in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency, the oiling of an
Agency parcel hereinabove mentioned and described, together with
the appurtenances thereto, and as specified in the -solicitation
inviting sealed proposals, -and that said proposal of said above- -
named bidder should be accepted and a contract awarded to said
bidder in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that
the above - mentioned sealed proposal is the lowest responsible
proposal received and that the person, firm or corporation .
submitting said proposal is a responsible person, firm or cor-
poration_ and that the proposal submitted is the best suited and
fitted for the oiling of an Agency parcel of land, to be undertaken.
.. hO14, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency that the sealed proposal submitted by said
contractor for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, in-
cluding power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary
to complete, in a good and workr,anlilce manner, in strict accord—
ance with the specifications therefor on file in the Office of
the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the

solicitation ir,.-Lting'sealed proposals, tht oiling of an Agency parcel
above more particularly mentioned and described, together with
the appurtenances thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted,
and that a contract for the completion of said public improve-
ment. - be, and the same is hereby, awarded to the said aoove-
named bidder.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth,
shall be, and they are hereby, required to execute a contract
in the required form with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency upon
the terms and conditions specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals and the proposal submitted by said successful bidder
or bidders and in accordance with the specifications for said
Improvement hereinabove described, and in accordance v ith the
terns, conditions and provisions of this resolution, and that
said successful bidder or bidders to whom each contract is
awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond in the amount
Of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY -FIVE DOLLARS ($2,755.00
for all labor, materials and equipment to be furnished and per-
formed, as set forth in the sealed proposal submitted by said
bidder for the Improvement, together with the appurtenances
thereto or such portion thereof as is covered by said contract,
as security for the faithful performance of said contract, and
a separate surety bond in the amount of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED FIFTY -FIVE DOLLARS ($2,755.00) as security for the
payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing material
for said improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said successful bidder or
bidders be, and they are hereby, required to furnish to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency in' companies satisfactory to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, public liability, property damage,
compensation, and other insurance in the amounts and for the
purpose set forth and "'specified in the solicitation inviting sealed
proposals, and subject to the approval of the General Counsel of
the Agency as to form and sufficiency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary
of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency be, and they are hereby, -
authorized and-directed to make, execute and enter into, for and
on behalf of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, a written contract
with said successful bidder or bidders for the furnishing of all
plant, labor, materials and equipment and performing all work,
as hereinabove more particularly described for the completion of
said public improvement - hereinabove described upon the
terms and conditions as specified in the solicitation inviting seale
proposals, the specifications, and all addenda thereto, and all
modifications incorporated therein prior to the date of the open-
ing of bids, on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency and in strict accordance with the terms,
conditions and provisions of this resolution, and in accordance
with al.l of the contract documents herein specified.
