A RESOLUTION OF
AGENCY DIRECTING
PREVAILING RATES
TO PUBLIC WORKS.
THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
THE FILING AND POSTING OF
OF PER DIEM WAGES PERTAINING
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency may award
contracts for the construction of "public works" as defined in
Section 1720 of the Labor Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 1774 of the Labor Code requires
contractors and subcontractors on public works projects to pay
workmen not less than the prevailing rates of wages; and
WHEREAS, Section 1770 requires the Director of the
Department of Industrial Relations to determine the prevailing
rate of per diem wages; and
WHEREAS, the Director has determined the prevailing rate
of per diem wages; and
WHEREAS, all public bodies are required to either:
(a) specify the prevailing rates of per diem wages in
the call for bids, the bid specifications, and the
public works contract itself; or
(b) refer to copies of the prevailing rate of per diem
wages on file in the office of the awarding body if
a copy of said rates is posted at each jobsite.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency does hereby direct the Secretary of the
Agency to cause to be filed in the office of the Secretary the
schedule of prevailing rates of per diem wages as determined by
the Director of Industrial Relations marked as Exhibit "A,"
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director of the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency be, and he is hereby, directed to
post, or cause to be posted, a copy of this resolution at each
jobsite.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 14th day of February, 1984.
