REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 27, 2007
The Anaheim Housing Authority met in regular session in the Chambers of the Anaheim City
Hall located at 200 South Anaheim Boulevard.
PRESENT: Chairman Curt Pringle, Authority Members: Lorri Galloway, Bob Hernandez,
Lucille Kring and Harry Sidhu
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager David Morgan, City Attorney Jack White, City Clerk Linda
Nguyen
A copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Housing Authority was posted on
February 23, 2007 on the kiosk outside City Hall.
Chairman Pringle called the regular meeting to order at 5:49 P.M. in the Council Chambers
of Anaheim City Hall, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard.
ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA: None
PUBLIC COMMENTS: No comments offered during the Joint Housing Authority/Council/
Financing Authority comment session related to the Housing Authority.
CONSENT CALENDAR: Authority Member Hernandez removed Item No. 1 from the
consent calendar for further discussion. Council Member Sidhu moved to approve the
balance of the consent calendar (Item 2}, seconded by Authority Member Kring. Roll Call
Vote: Ayes - 5: Chairman Pringle, Authority Members: Galloway, Hernandez, Kring and
Sidhu. Noes - 0. Motion Carried.
2. Approve the regular minutes of the Anaheim Housing Authority for December 12,
2006
END OF CONSENT:
1. Authorize the Anaheim Housing Authority to apply to the Orange County United Way
AHA177 for $50,000 under The Self-Sufficiency Calculator Pilot Program, and authorize the
Executive Director, or her designee, to execute a Memorandum of Understanding and
any other documents required for this grant.
Elisa Stipkovich, Community Development Director, reported this item was a request by staff
to approve application to United Way for funding made available to various housing providers
for family self-sufficiency supplemental funding. This would allow the Housing Authority to
use these funds to help with an existing self-sufficiency program to fund staffing, education
and training programs or to pay for anything that would assist a family on the Section 8
program and help them become self-sufficient. She added staff would also work with
Anaheim's workforce investment group toward that goal. She further added the Housing

Authority was invited to apply for this funding commenting only certain housing providers
were requested to submit an application.
Authority Member Hernandez removed this item from the consent calendar as he believed it
was significant for the community to note Anaheim was invited to participate in this program,
which was unique in itself, and because the program was not ahand-out; but an opportunity
to assist families to become self-sufficient and not rely on welfare payments and welfare
programs.
Authority Member Hernandez then moved to approve Item No. 1, seconded by Authority
Member Kring. Roll call vote: Ayes - 5; Chairman Pringle, Authority Members: Galloway,
Hernandez and Sidhu. Noes - 0. Motion carried.
Adjournment:
There being no further business, Chairman Pringle adjourned the Anaheim Housing Authority
Meeting at 5:55 P.M, to reconvene the Public Financing Authority meeting.
