A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
LIBRARY BOARD OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC
LIBRARY TO ESTABLISH, INCREASE
AND/OR DECREASE CERTAIN FINES AND
FEES
WHEREAS, the Library Board of the Public Library, in
its meeting of April 5, 2000, recommended adjustment in the fines
and fees as set forth below; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that certain of said
fines and fees should be established, increased and/or decreased
at this time in the manner hereinafter specified; and
WHEREAS, the fees hereinafter adopted do not exceed the
estimated reasonable cost of providing the service for which the
fee is charged; and
WHEREAS, the following fees have been considered at a
duly noticed public hearing.
"" N6W/THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as. follows:
1. That the fines and fees schedule establishing,
increasing and/or decreasing fines and fees as set forth on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
are hereby established;
2. That the amended fines and fees set forth in Exhibit
"W' attached hereto shall be effective on July 1, 2000;
3. That from the date of adoption of this Resolution until
July 1, 2000, the fines and fees established by Resolution No.
97R-92 shall remain in effect;
4. That as of July 1, 2000 any and all other Resolutions
previously adopted by the City Council that are inconsistent
herewith are rescinded, including Resolutions 79R-139, 82R-411,
85R-75, 85R-76, 86R-55, 86R-244, 88R-56, 90R-204, 91R-304, 93R-
132, 94R-225, 96R-101, and 97R-92.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as inconsistent
herewith, Resolution No. 66R-286 and Resolution No. 92R-133 shall
remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of June, 2000.
