A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR GENE AUTRY
WAY AT THE I-5 FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for
fiscal year 1994-1995; and
WHEREAS, the program includes $180,000.00 in fiscal
year 1994-1995 for design on Gene Autry Way at the I-5 Freeway;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted a General Plan
Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the
Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) within its jurisdiction;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has contracted the design
and completed required preparatory work in accordance with the
standards required by the City and other affected jurisdictions
involved with said project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has awarded the contract
for project design on March 23, 1993 for $597,420.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority
allocate $162,000 of CTFP funds from the Regional Interchange
Program for design of said project to the City of Anaheim. This
request is in conformance with the CTFP allocation process and
does not exceed ninety percent (90%) of the programmed amount or
ninety percent (90%) of the design contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Anaheim agrees to
fund its share of the improvement costs of the above-indicated
fiscal year and any additional costs over the identified
programmed amount.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 22nd day of
October 1996.
