Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City
'of Anaheim, at its meeting held on the 28th

provements, and regulating the acquisition,
construction or completion thereof," and be-
coming a law February 25th, 1901, and of the
ordinances of said city have been fully com-
tiled with so as to authorize the issue of said
bonds; now therefore,

Section 1. That bonds of the City of Ana-
heim in the sum of forty ,ight thousand dol-
lars be issued in accordance with the provis-
ions of the Act of the Legislature of the State
of California, entitled "An Act authorizing
the incurring of indebtedness by cities, towns
and municipal corporations, for municipal
improvements, and regulating the acquisition,
construction or completion thereof," and be.
coming a law February 25th, 1901, and with
the ordinances of said city, for the purpose of
paying the cost of improvement of, and the
construction of additions to, the City Water
Works and distributing system of said city,
and for the purpose of paying the cost of im-
provement of, and the construction of addi-
tions to, the City Electric Light Plant and dis-
tributing system of said city.
That said bonds shall be negotiable in form
and shall be eighty in number, and shall be
of the suer or denomination of six hundred
dollars each, and shall be numbered consecu-
tively from one to eighty, both inclusive: that
they sball be dated July 2d, 1906, and bear in-
terest at the rate of five per cent, per annum,
payable semi-annua ly on the 'ld day of July
and 2d day of January of every year. Said
eigghty bonds shall be payable ih the manner
followuig: two of said bonds upon the fol-
lowing date, to -wit: on the second day of July,
1907, and two of said bonds upon the same
day and date of each and every }ear there
after at the City Treasury of said city, togeth-
er with the interest on all sums unpaid at

This bond is one of a series of bonds of like
date, tenor and effect issued by the City of
Anaheim in pursuance of the provisions of an
Act of the Legislature of the State of Calf tor-
nia, entitled 'An Act authorizing the incur-
ring of indebtedness by cities, towns and mu-
nicipal corporations for municipal improve-
ments, and regulating the acquisition, con-
struction or completion thereof," which be-
came a law February 215th, 1901.
It is further certified that all the require-
ments of law and of the ordinances of the
City of Anaheim, have been fully complied
with by the proper officers in the issuing of
this bond; that this issue of bonds h: s been
authorized by a vote of two-thirds of the duly
qualified electors of said city voting on the
question of such issue at a special election
duly and regularly called and held in said
city on the 14th day of April, 1906, and that the
total amount of this issue, together with all
other indebtedness of said city, does not ex-
ceed the limit pres,-abed by the Constitution
and Laws of the State of California.

Treasurer of said city is hereby authorized
and directed to sign the interest coupons of
said bonds.
Sec. 3. That the proceeds of the sale of said
bonds sball be placed In the Treasury of said
city to the credit of a fund to be known as the
" blunieipal Improvement Bond 19N Fund,"
and shall be applied exclusively to the pur-
poses mentioned in this ordinance.
Sec. 4. That -for the purpose of securing [
and providing for the paymentof the principal i
and interest of said bonds, there is hereby
created a fund to be known as "Mfinicipal Im-
provement Bonds 1906 Interest and Sinking
Fund." That all the money which from time ;
to time shall be placed in said fund shall be
and is hereby set apart exclusively for the
purpose of meeting all sums coming due for'..
Eand interest on all of the aforesaid
bonds which may be issued under the proceed-
ings hereinbefore recited. That for the pur-
pose of paying the principal and interest of;
said bonds, the Board of Trustees of said city
shall at the time of fixing the general tax
levy, and in the manner for such general tax',
levy provided, levy and collect, annually,
each year until such bonds are paid, or until
there shall be a sum in the treasury of said
city set apart for that purpose, sufficient to
meet all sums coming due for principal and
interest on such bonds, a tax su clent to pay
the annual interest on such bonds, and also
such part of the principatthereof as shall be.
come due before the tiime for fixing the next
general tax levy. Said tax shall be in addi-
tion to all other tones levied for municipal
purposes, and shall be collected at the same
time and the same manner as other municipal
taxes are collected, and forthwith, as collect-
ed. shall be turned over to and paid into said
"Municipal Improvement Bonds 1906 interest
and Sinking Fund", and be used for no other
purpose than the payment of said bonds and
accruing interest.
See, 5. the City clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance and
cause the same to be published once in the
Anaheim Weekly Gazette, a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation printed, published and circu-
lated in said City of Auaheim, and thereupon
and thereafter it shall take effect and be in
full force.

of Fifteen Dollars in gold coin of the United. States of America, for
the semi-annual interest due on that date upon its above-nunibered
municipal improvement bond.

Sec. 2. That the President of the Board of Trustees of said
city and the City Treasurer of said City are hereby authorized and
directed to sign all of said bonds, and the City ;lerk of said city
is hereby authorized and directed to countersign said bons and to
affix the corporate seal of said city thereto, and the Tity Treas-
urer of said city is hereby authorized and directed to sign the
interest coupons of said. bonds.
Sec. 3. That the proceeds of the sale of said bonds shall be
placed in the Treasury of said city to the credit of a fund to be
known as the "Municipal Improvement Bond 1906 Fund", and shall be
appliedexclusively to the purposes mentioned in this ordinance.
Sec. 4. That for the purpose of securing and providing for the
payment of the principal and interest of said bonds, there is hereby
created. a fund to be known as "Municipal Improvement Bonds 1906 In-
terest and Sinking Fund." That all the money which from time to time
shall be placed in said fund shall be and is hereby set apart ex-
clusively for the purpose of meeting all sums coming due for prin-
cipal and interest on all of the aforesaid bonds which May be issued
under the proceedings hereinbefore recited. That for the purpose
of paying the principal and interest of said bonds, the Board of
Trustees of said city shall at the time of fixing the general tax
levy, and in the manner for such general tax levy provided, levy
and collect, annually, each year until such bonds are paid, or until
there shall be a sum in the treasury of said city set apart for that
purpose, sufficient to meet all sums coring due for principal and
interest on such bonds, a tax sufficient to pay the annual interest
on qu-1h bonds, and also such part of the principal thereof as shall
become due before the time for fixing the next general tax levy.
Said tax shall be in addition to all other taxes levied for muni-
cipal purposes, and s hall be collected at the same time and the
same manner as other municipal taxes are collected, and forthwith,
as collected, shall be yurned over to and paid into said "Municipal
Improvement Bonds 1906 Interest and Sinking Fund", and be used for
no other purpose than the payment of said bonds and accruing inter-
est.
Section S. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once
in the Anaheim weekly Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation
printed, published and circulated in said City of Anaheim, and there-
upon and thereffter it shall take effect and be in full force.
