8 SECTION 1. That Section 5 (a) Subdivision (4), Sections 8, 9, 10 and

6 S31CTION 9s The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and dir-
7 ected to enforce and administer this Ordinance, to issue licenses and collect fees'
8 penalties and monies provided for herein; and to appoint, by and with the consent
9 of the City Council, deputies to assist his in his duties prescribed by this
10 Ordinance.
11 It shall be the duty of every police officer of the City of Anshsim to
12 make immediate written report to the Chief of Police of every violation of this
13 Ordinance coming to his attention.
14 SFCTIOII 10t All licenses shall be prepared and issued by said City
15 Treasurer upon, the payment to his of the sum required to be paid hereunder. Bach

17 (a) The person to whom the same is issued;
18 (b) The kind'of business, profession, show, exhibition, game, occupatio

28 same is destroyed, he may procure a duplicate license from the City Treasurer by

30 SZCTION 16:
31 (d) Fetwithstanding my other provisions of this Section. should any
32 person licensed under the provisions of said Section 46 cease operating the

11[business for which he was so licensed, he shall immediately upon ceasing such
21[►usiness make a sworn statement of the gross receipts of such business from the
3 immediately preceding lot day of July up to and including the date of so ceasing
4 business, all in the manner and form required by said Section 46, and shall
5 immediately pay unto the City Treasurer the amount of license fee which has ac -
6 crued to such date of ceasing business, which amount shall be based upon the
7 schedule set forth in said Section 46.
8 SZCTIOY 179 All fees, penalties and other monies received by the City
9 Treasurer pursuant to the provisions of this Ordinance aW1 be deposited in the
10 General Fund of this City upon the business day nest following the receipt of the
11 same.
12 On or before the 10th day of each and every month the City 'Treasurer
13 hall deliver ionto the City Clerk of this City a full statement of all licenses
14 ssued by his during the immediate preceding month, the names of the licensees,
15 he numbers of their respective licenses, and the amount of fees, penalties and
16 ther atmiss collected on each license.
17 The 6ity Treasurer shall keep full, adequate and accurate records perms
18 taining to the issuance of licenses under this Ordinance and the collection of
19 Rll fees, penalties and other monies in connection therewith.
20 SZCTIOH 189 On or before the 10th day of June, of each year, it shall
21 pe the duty of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to deliver into the City
22 freasurer a_list of licensees to whom have been issued annual licenses since the
23 Let day preceding month of July. It shall be the duty of the City Treasurer to

(c) On the 24th day of July of each and every year, commencing duly
24. 1947, every person to whoa a license has been issued, pairsuaut to the pro-
visions of this Section, shall deliver unto the City Treasurer, for his guidance
in ascertaining the amount of license to be paid by such person, a written state-
ment sworn to before an officer authorised to administer oaths, showing the total;
amount of gross receipts of the business, trades, profession, occupation, ex-
hibition, game or enterprise for which such license was issued, for the annual
lincese period next preceding. Such statement shall not be conclusive upon the
City of Anaheim, or upon any officer thereof, as to the matters therein set for
and the same shall not prejudice the right of said City to recover any amount
that may be ascertained to be duo from such person in addition to the amount
shown by such statement to be due in case such statement shall be found to be
incorrect.
(s) All statements filed pursuant to the provisions of this Section
shall be deemed confidential in character, and shall not be subject to pablid
inspection. It shall be the duty of the City Treasurer to so preserve and iesp
said statements that the contents thereof may not become known except to the porsc
charged by lar with the administration of this Ordinance, provided, however, that
he saes may be introduced as evidence in any court of competent jurisdiction in
uses of alleged violation of this Ordinance by any maker of such statement.
(f) For the purpose of the enforcement of this Ordinance, the City
xsAsurer may, with the prior consent of the City Council, deputize a qualified

24 license has been issued pursuant to the provisions of this Section. Any failure
25 r refusal on the part of any person licensed under this Section to exhibit to
