A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF WEST VERMONT
AVENUE, WEST OF COTTONWOOD CIRCLE
(Abandonment No. 00-10A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by
law; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of October, 2000, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that
portion of West Vermont Avenue subject to reservations, more
particularly described as follows:
See Exhibit A attached hereto,
provided, however, that this action shall serve only to terminate
the rights of the public to use said street, highway, or public
service easement and shall not be construed to convey or
relinquish any property interest of the City of Anaheim in and to
said street, highway or public service easement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange upon the certification of the Director of
the Public Works Department that each of the following conditions
or events has been completed or occurred:
The City has received payment of $3900.00
pursuant to a sales contract pertaining to
said right of way.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of October,
2000.

EXHIBIT "A"
Being a portion of those public streets known as West Vermont Avenue (66.00' wide) and
Cottonwood Circle (50.00' wide) of Tract 1689, in the City of Anaheim, in the County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on a map fried in Book 49, Page 25 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said Orange County, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the centerline intersection of West Vermont Avenue and South ~itrort Street as
shown on said Tract 1682, the centerline of said West Vermont Avenue as shown on said Tract
1682 bears "South 74029'40'' West"; thence South 75°21'52'' West 336.07 feet along the
centerline of said West Vermont Avenue to the Point of Beginning; thence North 41022'34'' West
36.95 feet to the southerly line of Lot 13 as shown on said Tract 1682; thence North 75°21'59''
East 44.90 feet along the southerly line of said Lot 13 to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave northwesterly and having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence northeasterly and northerly
23.56 feet along said curve and southerly line through a central angle of 90°00'00'' to a point of
cusp, a radial line to said point bears North 75°21'52" East; thence South 14038'08'' East 13.01
feet to the beginning .fa tangent curve concave northeasterly and having a radius of 67.99 feet;
thence southerly and southeasterly 106.86 feet along said curve through a central angle of
90000'00" to a point of cusp in a line parallel with and southerly 33.00 feet from the centerli~e
of said West Vermont Avenue, a radial line to said point bears South 14°38'08'' East; thence
South 75'21'52" West 94.64 feet along said parallel line to the southeasterly prolongation of that
certain herein before described course shown as "North 41'22'34" West 36.95 feet"; thence
North 41'22'34" West 36.95 along said southeasterly prolongation to the Point of Beginning.
As shown on EXHIBIT B and by this reference made a part hereof.
This legal description contains 3896 square feet more dr less.
EXCEPTiNG AND RESERViNG therefrom unto the City of Anaheim an easement for public
utility purposes on, over, across, and under the entire area described above, together with
reasonable rights of ingress and egress.
Also reserving therefrom unto Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a public
corporation, an easement for public utility purposes on, over, across, and under the entire area
described above, together with reasonable rights of ingress and egress, to construct, reconstruct,
maintain, operate, enlarge, remove, and replace a line or lines of pipe at any time for water
transportation purposes with every appendage or structure necessary or convenient to be installed
at any time, and from time to time, in connection therewith, within the easement area. Said
reservation to Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is subject to the prior rights of
the City of Anaheim, as described in the reservation trot. said City of Anaheim in the above
paragraph.
