A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 2000-00376,
EXHIBIT "B."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 22 day of May, 2000, and the 28 day of
August, 2000, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold public hearings to consider a General Plan
Amendment. The General Plan Amendment does consider changing the
land use designation for the area of land consisting of
approximately 430 acres located along the east and west sides of,
and surrounding, Anaheim Boulevard between Broadway on the north
and the I-5 Santa Ana Freeway on the south; and
WHEREAS, at the initial public hearing, the City
Planning Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC2000-60,
as amended at the subsequent public hearing by its Resolution No.
PC2000-99, amending the Land Use Element of the General Plan,
containing a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence
presented at said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment
to the General Plan designated as Amendment No. 2000-00376 be
adopted by the City Council changing the land use designation for
the aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "B," a copy of
which is attached to this Resolution and incorporated herein, as
follows:
(a)
To redesignate certain properties from the General
Industrial, General Commercial, Medium Density Residential
and Low Density Residential designations to the Low-Medium
Density Residential designation; and
(b)
To redesignate certain properties from the General
Industrial, Business Office/Mixed Use/Industrial, Commercial
Professional, Medium Density Residential and Low-Medium
Density Residential designations to the General Commercial
designation; and
(c)
To redesignate certain properties from the General
Commercial, Medium Density Residential, and Low Density
Residential designations to the Commercial Professional
designation; and
(d)
To redesignate certain properties from the General
Commercial and Medium Density Residential designations
the Special Park Site designation; and
to
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 20th day of
June, 2000; the 8th day of August, 2000; the 29th day of August,
2000; the 26th day of September, 2000; the 10th day of October,
2000; the 17th day of October, 2000 and 14th day of November,2000
and the 5th day of December, 2000, as the times, and the City
Council Chamber in the Civic Center as the place for a public
hearing on said proposed Amendment No. 2000-00376 and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein
an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports
and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 2000-00376 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "B" should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 2000-00376 to the General
Plan Land Use Element changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed area to(a) redesignate certain properties from the
General Industrial, General Commercial, Medium Density
Residential and Low Density Residential designations to the Low-
Medium Density Residential designation, {b) redesignate certain
properties from the General Industrial, Business Office/Mixed
Use/Industrial, Commercial Professional, Medium Density
Residential and Low-Medium Density Residential designations to
the General Coramercial designation, (c) redesignate certain
properties from the General Commercial, Medium Density
Residential, and Low Density Residential designations to the
Commercial Professional designation, and (d) redesignate certain
properties from the General Commercial and Medium Density
Residential designations to the Special Park Site designation in
accordance with Exhibit "B" be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 2000-00376 as herein
adopted and approved.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 5th day of December,
2000.
