A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR ORANGEWOOD
AVENUE AT THE I -5 FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for
fiscal year 1997 -98; and
WHEREAS, the program includes One Hundred Thirty Eight
Thousand Dollars ($138,000.00) in fiscal year 1997 -98 for a
construction project on Orangewood Avenue at the 1 Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted a General Plan
having a Circulation Element which does not preclude imple-
mentation of the Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) within
its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has contracted for the
construction of the project improvements with the State of
California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) and completed
required preparatory work in accordance with the standards
required by the City and other affected jurisdictions involved
with said project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has awarded the contract
for project construction on February 1, 1996 for Seven Million
Four Hundred Twelve Thousand Dollars ($7,412,000.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority to
allocate One Hundred Twenty Four Thousand Dollars ($124,200.00)
of CTFP funds from the Regional Interchange Program to the City
of Anaheim for construction of said project. This request is in
conformance with the CTFP allocation process and does not exceed
ninety percent (90%) of the programmed amount or ninety percent
(90 of the construction contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Anaheim agrees to
funds its share of the improvement costs of the above indicated
fiscal year and any additional costs over the identified
programmed amount.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of November,
1997.
