AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC- TION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 391 OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITNG THE MANTEN- ANCE, ESTABLISHMENT, OR CARRYING ON OF ANY GA- RAGE, AND CERTAIN OTHER IN- DUSTRIES IN AND DEFINING AND ESTABLISHING RESI- DENCE DISTRICTS IN SAID CITY AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLA- TION THEREOF," PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 10TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1921. The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do ordain as follows: SECTION 1N That ,Section 6 of Ordinance No. 391 of the City of Ana- heim be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 5. The word "garage" as the same is used in this ordinance is defined to mean and include a place of business where motor vehi- cles are sold or kept- or exhibited for sale as a business, or a place of busi- ness where such motor vehicles are kept or received for housing, storage, or repair, for compensation, but It shall not include any open lot or par- cel or land where the business of parking or leaving motor vehicles is conducted or carried on." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinates in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are here- by repealed. SECTION 3. The City Clerk of -the City of Anaheim shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be printed and published once in the Anaheim Gazette, a new -3 - paper of general circulation, printed, l;ublished and circulated in said city and thirty days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
