A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY COUNCIL CALLING FOR
THE FORMATION OF A PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE FOR THE
WEST ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AMENDMENT AREA,
AND ADOPTING PROCEDURES FOR THE FORMATION OF SAID
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim (the "City Council adopted
the Redevelopment Plan for the Brookhurst Commercial Corridor Redevelopment Project (the
Brookhurst Redevelopment Plan on December 7, 1993, by Ordinance No. 5412; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33333.6 of California Community Redevelopment
Law, the Brookhurst Redevelopment Plan was amended by the City Council on
December 13, 1994, by Ordinance No. 5466; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Redevelopment Agency is
proposing to add territory to the Brookhurst Redevelopment Project (the "Amendment Area
and change the name of the proposed amended project to the West Anaheim Redevelopment
Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a redevelopment Survey Area, and
requested such area to be studied to determine if a redevelopment project or project
amendment within said area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Planning Commission adopted boundaries for the proposed
Amendment Area on November 10, 1997; and
WHEREAS, Section 33385 of the California Health and Safety Code provides for the
formation of a Project Area Committee by the City Council if a substantial number of low
and moderate income persons may be displaced as a result of the Amendment; and
WHEREAS, dwelling units are located in the proposed Amendment Area and may be
occupied by low- or moderate income persons; and
WHEREAS, no displacement of residents or businesses is currently planned; however,
it is possible that some may occur in the future; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to form a Project Area Committee, which will
advise and consult with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the Anaheim Redevelopment
and Housing Commission regarding redevelopment planning and policy for the West Anaheim
Redevelopment Project Amendment Area; and

WHEREAS, a duly noticed Public Hearing has been held to review procedures
pursuant to the formation of such Project Area Committee.
SECTION 1: The City Council calls for the formation of a Project Area Committee
for the West Anaheim Redevelopment Project Amendment Area.
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby adopts, as the procedure for formation of the
Project Area Committee, the document attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.
