The compensation of the. City Marshal and ex -officio tax and license collector, is hereby, fixed at One Hundred Seventy-five ($175.00) Dollars per month, pay- able monthly, which compensation shall be in full for all services now, or which may be hereafter required of him by any law of the State of California, or by any Or- dinance or Resolution of the Board of Trustees of said City, now in effect, or which may hereafter be enacted or adopted. Nothing in this section, however, shall be con- strued to prohibit the Marshal from demanding and receiving such compensation as may be al- lowed by law for services render- ed for serving process from the Superior Court or Justice's Court, in the State of California or from collecting from, parties to Civil actions any lawful fees for the service of process therein." SECTION 2. That Section 2 of Ordinance Number 340 of the City of Anaheim, entitled "An Ordi- nance fixi:ig the compensation of the Marshal and Deputy. Marshals of 'the City of Anaheim," passed and adopted by the Board of Trus- tees of said City on the 12th day of December, 1918, and as amended by Ordinance Number 419 of said City passed and adopted on the 23rd day of March, 1922, be and the wimp is hereby amended to read as, follows: "Section 2. The Marshal shall appoint, subject to the approval of said Board of Trus- tees of said City, one or more Deputy Marshals, which offices are hereby created. The compensation of such Deputy Marshals shall be One, Hundred Thirty-five ($135.00) Dollars per month each, for all services to be hereafter rendered by them, which compensation shall .be payable monthly, out of the.
