TOR OF SAID CITY: P THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 24 of Or- dinance No. 476 entitled "An Ordinance creating the public service department of the City of Anaheim, defining its Powers and prescribing its duties; creat - Ing the office of controller of said de- partment defining hie powers, prescrib- ing his duties and fixing his compensa- tion; establishing rates and charges for electric and water service and providing for the collection thereof; specifying the manner of handling delinquent pay- ments; prescribing certain rules and regulations governing the installation and use of electric and water services; and fixing penalties for violations there- of; and abolishing the office of rate col- lector of said city," be, and same_ is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 24: Circuses, shows exhi- bitions, contractors on construction work and all similar transient consumers, de- siring to be furnished with electricty or water by the City of Anaheim, shall make application for such service at the office of -the Public Service Depart- ment. Each such applicant will be charged for all labor, and expense incurred by the. `City in making such connection, also for the use and depreciation of all wire, pipe, hose, meters and other equip- ment furnished by the city, and such applicant shall deposit with the Publio Service Department at the time of mak- ing application, a sum of money suf- ficient to cover all of said charges, In the case of transient consumers;? each applicant will also be required tw' deposit with said Department, before service is installed, a sum of money suf-! flcient to pay for the amount of elec +' tricty and water to be used through such service, as estimated by said de- partment at the established rate; any balance of said deposit remaining in the hands of the Department after all Proper rates and charges have been de- ducted therefrom, will be returned to said applicant when such service is discontinued. E a c h consumer permitted t o u s e water outside the City of Anaheim, shall Pay for such water at the following rates, provided however, that the fol - ]owing minimum charges shall be paid by consumers outside of the City limits p of the City of Anaheim: For service through %-inch pipe, $ 2.00 For service through 1 -inch pipe, 3.20 For service through I% -inch pipe, 6.00 For service through 2 -inch pipe, 10.00 For service through 3 -inch pipe, 16.00 For service through 4 -inch pipe, 25.00 For service through 6 -inch pipe, 50.00 For all water furnished and delivered by the City of Anaheim through any meter ouUide said City, the charges for any amount of water up, to 750 cubic feet for each month during which said water is furnished or until such time as such water connection shall be discon- tinued, is hereby fixed at One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50). For all water furnished and delivered by the City of Anaheim through any meter outside said City, the charge for any amount of water in excess of 750 cubic feet for each month during which said water is furnished or until such time as such water connection shall be discontinued, is hereby fixed at Fifteen Cents ($.15) per 100 cubic feet. SECTION 2: All other conditions, except minimum charges and rates for Water, shfall be governed as hereby provided in this " Ordinance. SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting with the pro- visions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify to the Passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed and pub- lished once in the Anaheim Gazette, a newspaper of general circulation, print- ed, published and circulated in said city, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be In full force.
