A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL
WORKERS, LOCAL 47
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers,
Local 47, have met and conferred and reached an agreement concerning the defined
contribution to the Post Retirement Medical Plan (Retirement Health Savings Account, or
"RHSA and
WHEREAS, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 is in
agreement with the recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated January 11, 2007
between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated January 11, 2007 between the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 30th day of January 2007, by the following roll call vote:

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
Between the
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 (IBEW), and the City of
Anaheim (ANAHEIM) have met and conferred in good faith and reached an agreement
concerning the defined contribution to the Post Retirement Medical Plan (Retirement
Health Savings Account, or "RHSA The Parties have reached an understanding as
follows:
1. Effective the first day of the pay period following City Council approval of this
Letter of Understanding, any employee in a classification represented by the
IBEW who is a participant in the Retirement Health Savings Account "RHSA
shall be required to make a pre -tax contribution of two percent (2 of their gross
biweekly pay, to be deposited to their individual employee Retirement Health
Savings Account "RHSA
