Administrative Intern I Council Assistant II -A Golf Course Marshal Library Page Office Assistant Police Reserve Level I Police Res Level II Recreation Director Swim Instructor TMC Event Systems Operator EMD Quality Coordinator RESOLUTION NO. 2007- a9A A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING NEW RATES OF COMPENSATION AND PAY POLICIES FOR UNREPRESENTED PART -TIME JOB CLASSIFICATIONS WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated June 19, 2007, that new rates of compensation and pay policies for unrepresented part- time job classifications be established effective June 29, 2007 and that Resolution 2006 -116 be rescinded in its entirety; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation and pay policies for unrepresented part-time job classifications is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AS FOLLOWS: THAT, effective June 29, 2007 through June 26, 2008, the top step hourly rate for the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future, be employed in any of the benchmark job classifications listed below shall be increased by three percent (3 to: Classification Step 9 $12.06 $25.36 $8.33 $9.75 $13.06 $20.94 Minimum Wage $12.40 $14.10 $22.62 $37.67 Effective June 29, 2007, the benchmark rates above shall be applied to the associated classifications and the salary relationships as listed in Section 2. THAT, effective June 27, 2008 through June 25, 2009, the top step hourly rate for the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed, or will in the future be employed, in any of the benchmark job classifications listed below shall be increased by three percent (3 to: 1 \swi tz \O T 10 0 9sw. Hourly Range Minimum Wage $50.00 hourly Part-time employees who are required to speak, read, and /or write in Spanish or other languages as well as English as part of the regular duties of their position will be compensated at the rate of $.50 per hour in addition to their regular pay. Such compensation shall be effective the first pay period following competency review. All part-time employees covered by this Resolution who are not CaIPERS members, shall be required to participate in the 457P Plan and shall contribute 7.5% of their gross biweekly pay. Part-Time employees covered by this Resolution who are Miscellaneous CaIPERS members shall pay 3.75% of the statutorily required 7% CaIPERS employee contribution to the retirement system. Anaheim shall pay 3.25% of the statutorily required 7% employee contribution to the retirement system. Such contributions shall be designated as "employer pick up" contributions under the provisions of Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. Part-Time employees covered by this Resolution who are Police Safety CaIPERS members shall pay 9% of the statutorily required 9% CaIPERS employee contribution to the retirement system. In addition, any amount assessed under the provisions of Government Code Section 21362.2 shall also be considered employee contributions and shall be paid by the employee. All such contributions shall be designated as "employer pick up" contributions under the provisions of Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. I :\switz \OT 1 009sw. DOC 29, 2007.
