A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE HUMAN
RESOURCES DIRECTOR AND THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
REQUEST DISBURSEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FROM THE OTHER POST EMPLOYMENT
PREFUNDLNG PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2008 -071 adopting a policy
to prefund the post employment benefit obligations of the City of Anaheim and directing
that such prefunding contributions be placed in an irrevocable trust for the exclusive
purpose of funding post employment benefits; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 2008 -071, the prefunding
contributions were placed in an irrevocable trust referred to as the California Employer's
Retiree Benefit Trust or Other Post Employment Prefunding Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to designate those City employees who
will have authority to request disbursements of such contributions from the Prefunding
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the incumbents in the positions of Human Resources Director and Finance Director
are hereby delegated the authority to request on behalf of the City of Anaheim
disbursements from the Other Post Employment Prefunding Plan and to certify as to the
purpose for which the disbursed funds will be used.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of June 2009, by the following roll call
vote
