A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DESIGNATING A
REPRESENTATIVE TO VOTE ON AMENDMENTS
TO THE COOPERATIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES
JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the CITY OF ANAHEIM "Agency entered into the Cooperative
Personnel Services "CPS Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement dated March 1985 and
amendment from time to time "JPA to create a joint powers authority to assist each party to
the JPA in their efforts to provide modern human resource and related management services; and
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the JPA provides that the JPA may be amended only
by the concurrence of all parties to the JPA and that a party has the option to designate a
representative to vote on the amendments on behalf of the member agency.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Designation of Representative. The City Council hereby authorizes and
directs its appointed representative to the CPS Board of Directors to review, approve, and
execute amendments to the JPA on the Agency's behalf.
Section 2. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the26th day
of May 2009. by the following roll call vote:
