A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO AMEND THE NON EXCLUSIVE TAXICAB FRANCHISES
OF YELLOW CAB OF GREATER ORANGE COUNTY, INC.,
AND CALIFORNIA YELLOW CAB TO EXTEND THE TERMS
THEREOF UNTIL FEBRUARY 14, 2012, PROVIDING FOR
ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE FRANCHISES PURSUANT TO
SECTION 4.73.200 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE,
AS AMENDED, GRANTING TWENTY -FIVE ADDITIONAL
TAXICABS TO YELLOW CAB OF GREATER ORANGE COUNTY INC.,
TO OPERATE IN ANAHEIM, AND ESTABLISHING THE DATE, HOUR
AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSONS HAVING ANY
INTEREST THEREIN OR ANY OBJECTION THERETO MAY
APPEAR AND BE HEARD THEREON
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has introduced an ordinance to amend
Section 4.73.200 of the Anaheim Municipal Code authorizing the City Council to award a franchise
for a term of up to ten (10) years, and requiring franchises to be subject to annual review; and
WHEREAS, the intent and purpose of the City Council in amending Section 4.73.200
was. in part. to have the ability to amend the terms of the existing franchises so that they terminate
on the same date, and so that future taxicab franchises will all expire on a 10 -year cycle; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim desires to extend the terms of
the existing franchises of Yellow Cab of Greater Orange County, Inc., and California Yellow Cab to
February 14, 2012, so that future franchises for all taxicabs operating in Anaheim will be awarded at
the same time, while requiring said franchises to be subject to annual review; and
WHEREAS. the City Council desires to further amend the existing franchise of
Yellow Cab of Greater Orange County, Inc., in order to grant said franchisee an additional twenty
five (25) taxicabs to operate in Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council hereby declares its intention to amend the existing franchises of
Yellow Cab of Greater Orange County, Inc., and California Yellow Cab to extend the terms of said
franchises to February 14, 2012, require the franchises to be subject to annual review in order to
ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of said franchises, and to grant Yellow Cab of
Greater Orange County. Inc.. twenty -five (25) additional taxicabs to operate in Anaheim.
SECTION 2.
That the terms and conditions upon which it is proposed to amend said franchises are
each of those certain terms, conditions. limitations and representations as expressly set forth in the
ordinances granting said franchises, except as amended in the manner described herein.

Notice is hereby given that on March 31, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chamber of the Anaheim City Hall, 200 South Anaheim
Boulevard, Anaheim. California, any persons having any interests in the proposed amendments to
said franchises, or any objection to the granting thereof, may appear before the City Council and be
heard thereon.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution at least once, within
fifteen days of the passage thereof. in the official newspaper.
