A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY
OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
GLENCREST AVENUE, BETWEEN MAGNOLIA STREET AND
CAMBRIA STREET (APN 071 295 -19)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim "City owns that certain property, consisting
of approximately 6,000 square feet, located generally on the south side of Glencrest Avenue
between Magnolia Street and Cambria Street (hereinafter "Property and
WHEREAS, the remnant /surplus Property is zoned RS -2 and has a general plan
designation of low density residential; and
WHEREAS, the Property is an abandoned water well site that has been destroyed
pursuant to Well Completion Report No. 904199; and
WHEREAS, the Property is no longer required for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, no agency identified in the Surplus Unimproved Land Act
(California Government Code §54222 54232) has, within sixty (60) days of notification by the
City, notified the City of its intention to purchase the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Property shall be advertised
for sale and sold by sealed bid. Said bids shall be opened at 2pm on September 17, 2007, in the
Office of the City Clerk located at 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92805. All
bids shall be accompanied by deposit in the form of a certified or cashier's check in the sum of at
least ten percent (10 of the bid price. Notice is given that the City Council must reject any bid
which does not equal or exceed the appraised value of the Property ($242,000.00) unless the City
Council, by at least a two thirds vote, determines the sale of the Property at a lesser amount to be
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall open said bids and
forward qualified bids to the Director of Public Works for evaluation and recommendation of the
bid to be accepted by the City Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 21 st day of August 2007, by the following roll call vote:
