A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ANAHEIM APPROVING
THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT AND MORE
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SOUTH SIDE OF WATER STREET, WEST OF
ILLINOIS STREET, NORTH OF VINEYARD AVENUE, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
(APN 036 251 -01, 036 251 -18, 036 251 -20 and 036 251 -22)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim acquired title to property located at the south side of Water Street,
west of Illinois Street, north of Vineyard Avenue, Anaheim, California (APN' s 036-251-01, 036 251 -18, 036-
251-20 and 036 251 -22) consisting of a combined area of approximately 10,634 square feet (hereinafter
"Property") upon the combination of the four (4) aforedescribed parcels through Lot Line Adjustment No.
0000566, as part of the properties acquired from the widening of Interstate Highway 5; and
WHEREAS, said Property is no longer required for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, no agency identified in Government Code §54222, et seq. has, within 60 days of
notification by the City, notified the City of Anaheim of its intent to purchase the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that said
Property shall be advertised for sale and sold by sealed bid. Said bids shall be opened at 2:00 p.m. on
November 29, 2007 in the Office of the City Clerk located at 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, CA
92805. All bids shall be accompanied by deposit in the form of a certified or cashier's check in the sum of
at least 10 percent of the bid price. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council must reject any bid
which does not equal or exceed the appraised value of the Property ($152,000.00) unless the City Council,
by at least a two thirds vote, determines the sale of the Property at a lesser amount to be in the best interests
of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall open said bids and forward qualified bids
to the Director of Public Works for evaluation and recommendation of the bid to be accepted by the City
Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim this 6th day of November 2007, by the following roll -call vote:
