RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR CALTRANS
I -5 OFFRAMP TEMPORARY CLOSURE
WHEREAS, the Danskin Triathlon weekend is scheduled for June 14
June 15 and will take place at the Disney Resort and in certain areas of the City of
Anaheim "City and
WHEREAS, 1,500 triathletes will swim and run in the Disney theme parks
and bicycle along City streets in the Anaheim Resort and Platinum Triangle areas located
within the City; and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximate three
hour temporary closure of the I -5 southbound offramp at Disney Way; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been prepared, and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the City of Anaheim requests temporary closure of up to three hours on
Sunday June 15 2008, between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at southbound I -5 at Disney
Way.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 8 day of April 2008, by the following roll call vote:
