2001-073RESOLUTION NO. 2001R-73 A RESOLUTION OF THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING TWO (2) LETTERS OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47 WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 to discuss specific concerns relative to amending certain sections of Article 17, Article 35 (Holidays) and Article 45 (Distribution) of the current Memorandum of Understanding; and WHEREAS, two (2) Letters of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 have been prepared and signed amending Article 17, Article 35 and Article 45 of the current Memorandum of Understanding; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letters of Understanding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Letters of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are approved and said Memorandum of Understanding is hereby amended in accordance with the terms of said Letters of Understanding. The PARTIES have agreed as follows: 1) Article 35 shall be amended to delete section 35.8: ARTZCLE 35 HOLZDAYS ........ +; .... ;~; ......~ ......;~' h,..uu,, 35 7 of *~':~ A~clc: ..... ~, .......... ~ ............ a .......... 5c~ions oc , 2) ARTICLE 45 - DISTRIBUTION will be amended as follows: ARTICLE 45 DISTRIBUTION 45.1 In order that overtime can be equitably distributed among employees in a given classification, ANAHEIM and UNION agree that overtime will be assigned pursuant to Public Utilities Department policies except that employees who are unable to reach the Utilities Service Center within a reasonable time may be removed by ANAHEIM from the list of those persons to whom overtime is normally assigned. 45._2 Call-out lists shall be prepared by each pay period and posted each payday. 45.3 All overtime worked or declined shall be charged. 45.4 Each list will be gone through one time before moving to the next list. 45.5 Call-out lists will consist of Line Mechanic, Lbo Electric Crew Supervisor (Ii.ne crew) and Electric Scr;~cc Crew Supervisor (service crew). The "eYerqreen" list for Electric Crew Supervisor (line crew) will be comprised of Line Crew Letter of Understanding Amending Articles 35 and 45 Supervisors and Electric Crew Supervisors in ascendinq order of overtime worked.
