A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
A PORTION OF TUSTIN AVENUE SOUTH OF ORANGE-
THORPE AVENUE AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange has adopted, pursuant to the provisions of the Streets and
Highways Code (Sections 1700 et seq.), Resolution No. 00-363,
which Resolution does declare a portion of Tustin Avenue which
lies within the boundaries of the City of Anaheim, to be a county
highway for purposes of right-of-way acquisition, utility
verification, and construction during the widening of Tustin
Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1701 of the Streets and Highways Code
provides that the governing body of a city may consent to the
establishment of a city street, or portion thereof, as a county
highway in accordance with the resolution of the Board of
Supervisors; and,
WHEREAS, the widening and improvement of that portion
of Tustin Avenue as hereinafter described in the City of Anaheim
as a County Highway is in the best interest of the City of
Anaheim and its residents.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby consent to the establishment of
that portion of Tustin Avenue extending from Orangethorpe Avenue
to a point approximately one thousand six hundred feet (1600')
southerly thereof as a county highway for purposes of right-of-
way acquisition, utility verification, and construction.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 1st day of May ,
2001.
