2001-137RESOLUTION NO. 2001R-137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 2001-00390, EXHIBIT "A." WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate subject property ("study area") from the Medium Density Residential land use designation to the Low-Medium Density Residential designation on Parcel 2, an irregularly- shaped 1.2-acre property located southwest of the intersection of Glenoaks Avenue and Greenleaf Avenues, and northeast of the Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway, having a frontage of 446 feet on the west side of Greenleaf Avenue and a maximum depth of 363 feet, and further described as 2030 West Greenleaf Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on April 23, 2001, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said General Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recom~aendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC2000-50 containing a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General Plan designated as Amendment No. 2001-00390 be adopted by the City Council changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed area to "Low-Medium Density Residential" in accordance with Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, suramary of evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 12th day of June, 2001, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed Amendment No. 2001-00390 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that Amendment No. 2001-00390 changing the land use designation in the aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with the City should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 2001-00390 to the General Plan changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed area to "Low-Medium Density Residential" in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with the City be, and the same is hereby, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be, and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to conform to General Plan Amendment No. 2001-00390 as herein adopted and approved. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of June, 2001.
