A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE PLANS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A HELISTOP AT THE KAISER
ANAHEIM HOSPITAL PURSUANT TO PUBLIC
UTILITIES CODE SECTION 21661.5.
WHEREAS, Kaiser Anaheim Hospital desires to construct and use a rooftop
helistop at its medical facilities located at 3430 East La Palma Avenue in the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed Helistop is located more than one thousand (1,000) feet
from any residentially zoned parcel, and is, therefore, a permitted primary use within Northeast
Area Specific Plan No. 94 -1 (SP 94 -1), Development Area 4 (Transit Core Area); and
WHEREAS, California Public Utilities Code section 21661.5 requires City
Council approval of plans for construction of new helicopter landing and takeoff areas (helistop)
as evidence of local approval; and
WHEREAS, Kaiser Anaheim Hospital has submitted plans to the City for the
construction of said helistop; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the plans submitted by Kaiser
Anaheim Hospital for the construction and use of said helistop; and
WHEREAS, copies of said plans are on file in the City Planning Department and
the City Clerk's Office and are available for public inspection during normal business hours; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this resolution is not subject to the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 21080(b)(1) of the California
Public Resources and CEQA Guidelines, Section 15268(a), Title 14, Chapter 3 of the California
Code of Regulations (ministerial project exempt from the requirements of CEQA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim pursuant to Public Utilities Code section 21661.5 hereby approves the plans of
construction for the rooftop helistop for the Kaiser facility located at 3430 East La Palma
Avenue in the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 1 Oth day of January , 2012, by the following roll call vote:
