RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING TEMPORARY
CLOSURES TO CALTRANS STATE ROUTE 57
NORTHBOUND OFF -RAMP FOR THE ANGELS
FOUNDATION 5K AND FUN RUN.
WHEREAS, the Angels Foundation 5K and Fun Run is scheduled for April 22,
2012; and
WHEREAS, 4,500 runners and walkers will participate in this 3.1 mile course
through the Anaheim Stadium and along City streets passing State Route 57 (SR -57); and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximate two -hour
temporary closure of SR -57 northbound off -ramp at Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been prepared, and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, Angels Foundation agrees to reimburse the City and Caltrans for
costs of the traffic closures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City of Anaheim requests temporary closures of up to two hours on April 22, 2012,
between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at SR -57 northbound off -ramp at Katella Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 28 day. of February, 2012, by the following roll call vote:
