A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS TO SUBMIT A REQUEST, ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO RE- APPROPRIATE
ALLOCATED CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 2011 /12 RENEWED
MEASURE M FUNDING TO FISCAL YEAR 2012/13 FOR
THE TUSTIN AVENUE/LA PALMA AVENUE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority ( "OCTA ") conducted a
first annual call for "Project 0- the Regional Capacity Program (RCP) under Renewed Measure
M ( "M2 ") Funding" (the "Grant "); and
WHEREAS, this Grant allocated a total of $56 Million in three funding programs
for street and road improvements across Orange County through the end of March 31, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim ( "City ") has received from OCTA competitive
funding for the Tustin Avenue/La Palma Avenue Improvement Project (the "Project "); and
WHEREAS, the City has nearly completed the Project design and final property
acquisition and right -of -way certification for the Project is anticipated in Fiscal Year 2012/13,
which will be beyond the allocated M2 Funding for Fiscal Year 2011/12 ; and
WHEREAS, OCTA now requires that when M2 funding is delayed beyond the
allocated funding Fiscal Year, that a resolution be approved by the local jurisdiction's city
council, authorizing the city to submit a request to OCTA to re- appropriate allocated funding
beyond the current fiscal year; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of ANAHEIM
does hereby:
Authorize the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Anaheim, to
submit a request to the Orange County Transportation Agency to re- appropriate current Fiscal
Year 2011/12 Measure M2 funding into Fiscal Year 2012/13 for the Tustin Avenue/La Palma
Improvement Project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of March , 2012, by the following roll -call vote:
