RESOLUTION 2012- 057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF TWO
PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED AT 1584
WEST KATELLA AVENUE PURSUANT TO THE
CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAY CODE
SECTION 8330, ET SEQ. - SUMMARY VACATION.
(ABANDONMENT NO. ABA2012- 00246)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has received a request from the property owner at
1584 West Katella Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, California for the vacation of a portion of two
existing public utility easements upon said property in order to clear title to the land in conjunction
with the future development of a commercial building; and
WHEREAS, the public service easements to be vacated are not necessary for present
or prospective public utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the easements to be vacated are superseded by relocation of public
utilities and there are no other public facilities located within the easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of two public utility easements located at 1584
West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, California, as shown on Tract Map 3240 filed in Book 113, Pages
1 -3 inclusive of miscellaneous maps and an Easement Deed recorded March 4, 1959, in Book 4613,
Page 226 of Official Records and assigned to the City of Anaheim per a Final Order of
Condemnation field September 27, 1961 in Book 5862, Page 291 of Official Records, County of
Orange, State of California, as more particularly described on Exhibits "A and `B" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by such reference.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this Resolution shall
not be effective until a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder
of the County of Orange, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date the certified copy of this
Resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, the vacation shall be
complete and the public service easements vacated shall no longer constitute public service
easements.
