A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING THE WAIVER OF NOTICE OF
LEASE BY THE COUNTY OF ORANGE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the County of Orange, Health Care Agency, proposes
to enter into a Lease to occupy an approximately 7,000 square
foot facility at 150 West Cerritos Avenue, Anaheim, California.
The County proposes that approximately 3,500 square feet of the
facility would be used for administrative offices for Probation
Department staff and the remaining area would be used to provide
career counseling for juvenile probations under the Probation
Department's Independent Living Program; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351 requires the County
to notify the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, in writing, at
least sixty days prior to entering into such Lease, unless such
notice is waived by resolution of the City Council;
WHEREAS, the County has requested that the City Council
waive such sixty-day notice requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the requested waiver of the sixty-day notice
required by Government Code Section 25351 is hereby denied with
respect to the aforementioned Lease.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
