A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
ANAHEIM APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY OWNED
PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 1778 S. STRATHMORE PLACE
AND 1779 S. HEATHER LANE, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim owns the following parcels:
a.) 1778 S. Strathmore Place (approximately 4,448 square feet),
and,
b.) 1779 Heather Lane (approximately 4,563 square feet); and,
WHEREAS, said Parcels are no longer required for municipal
purposes; and,
WHEREAS, no agency identified in Government Code ~54222, et seq.
has, within 60 days of notification by the City, notified the City of
Anaheim of its intent to purchase the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Parcels shall be adver-
tised for sale and sold by sealed bid. Said bids shall be opened at
2:00 p.m. on September 13, 2001 in the Office of the City Clerk
located at 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92805. All bids
shall be accompanied by deposit in the form of a certified or
cashier's check in the sum of at least 10 percent of the bid price. A
separate sealed bid shall be presented for each parcel which the
bidder desires to purchase.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council must reject any bid
which does not equal or exceed the appraised value of each of the
Parcels, unless the City Council, by at least a two-thirds vote,
determines the sale of the Property at a lesser amount to be in the
best interests of the City of Anaheim. The Parcel at 1778 S. Strath-
more Place has been appraised at $45,000.00. The Parcel at 1779 S.
Heather Lane has been appraised at $46,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall open said bids
and forward qualified bids to the Director of Public Works for
evaluation and recommendation of the bid to be accepted by the City
Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 28th day of August, 2001.
