A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 12th DAY OF JUNE,
1980, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PERALTA
f e""'` CANYON PARK MULTI - PURPOSE BUILDING, ACCOUNT
NO. 47- 805- 7105 - 80514.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 20th day of May,
1980, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 80R -233 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the construction of the Peralta Canyon Park
Multi- Purpose Building, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, and all work
necessary for said public improvement on the 12th day of June,
1980, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall,
in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on said 12th day of June, 1980, at the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the
bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in
the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review said bids
and did report the results thereof to the City Council at its
regular meeting held on July 1, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that the bids re-
ceived greatly exceed the estimate of the City Engineer of the
cost of said public improvement and are not representative of
actual costs for said public improvement and that it would be in
the best interests of the City to reject said bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour of
2:00 P.M. on the 12th day of June, 1980, reviewed by the City
Engineer and submitted to the City Council on July 1, 1980, for
construction of the Peralta Canyon Park Multi - Purpose Building,
Account No. 47- 805 -7105- 80514, be, and the same are, hereby
rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this t d- •f July, 1980.
