RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING TEMPORARY
CLOSURES TO CALTRANS STATE ROUTE 57
NORTHBOUND OFF -RAMP FOR THE FROZEN
FOODS FOUNDATION 5K.
WHEREAS, the Frozen Foods Foundation 5K is scheduled for February 24,
2013; and
WHEREAS, 2,000 runners and walkers will participate in this 3.1 mile course
through the Anaheim Stadium and along City streets passing State Route 57 (SR -57); and
WHEREAS, safety along the course will require an approximately two -hour
temporary closure of the SR -57 northbound off -ramp at Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, traffic control plans have been prepared, and a certificate of
insurance has been prepared to the satisfaction of Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, Frozen Foods Foundation agrees to reimburse the City and Caltrans
for the cost of the traffic closures.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City of Anaheim requests a temporary closure of up to two hours on February 24, 2013,
between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at the SR -57 northbound off -ramp at Katella Avenue.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 29 day of January, 2013, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Tait, Council Members Eastman, Brandman, Kring and Murray
